SELF-WORTH THERAPY

Self-Worth Therapy for Women in Raleigh, NC

Online therapy for women in Raleigh and across NC, DE, PA, TX, IL, VA, and MD

You've read the books. Talked to your friends. Prayed. Journaled. Tried to think your way into feeling better.

You're still not sure who you are outside of the roles you carry.

‍

When people ask how you are, you talk about work, your family, everything you're juggling. When they ask who you are, you go quiet.

‍

Somewhere along the way you became everything to everyone else and put yourself at the bottom of the list.

‍

You keep it together. You show up. You handle what needs handling.

‍

But you're tired of waiting for someone else to see the deeper parts that need care.

‍

Self-worth therapy can help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and build worth that doesn't depend on approval or being needed.

‍

You haven't lost yourself. You just need space to come back to you.

THE SIGNS

Does this feel familiar?

  • You can't seem to tell people no
  • No one really gets you
  • Your relationships feel one-sided
  • You worry more than you'd like to admit
  • You feel guilty when you rest
  • You avoid your feelings by scrolling, staying busy, or shutting down
  • You keep wondering if you're asking for too much
  • You're unsure of your values, your needs, your next move
  • You want to feel confident but don't know where to start

You look in the mirror and aren't sure who's looking back. Not because you're broken. Because you've spent years being who everyone else needed.

‍

It's time to give main character energy to your story. To reconnect with the woman you are, the woman you've always been, and the woman you're still becoming.

UNDERSTANDING IT

Rebuilding self-worth from the inside out

Therapy can feel scary when you don't know what to expect. We'll go at your pace. Some sessions will focus on this week. Others will touch on old wounds, family patterns, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or the parts of you that learned to survive by staying quiet or overworking.

I use my S.A.F.E.R. Method as our roadmap, plus trauma-informed care and proven tools like CBT, DBT, parts work, and mindfulness, adjusted to fit you.

‍

S.A.F.E.R. looks at:

  • Self-Awareness: What am I feeling, needing, avoiding, carrying?
  • Acceptance: How do I stop shaming myself for how I learned to survive?
  • Forgiveness and Faith: What guilt or old story am I ready to let go of?
  • Eliminate: What patterns or beliefs no longer serve me?
  • Rebuild: What life, relationships, and self-trust do I want now?

It gives our work a clear path while still leaving room for it to be personal and flexible.

Early sessions tend to focus on noticing: catching the moments you shrink yourself, override your no, or brace for someone else's disappointment. From there, we build tools you can actually use that same week, then circle back to the older patterns underneath once your day-to-day feels a little steadier.

What becomes possible when you choose yourself?

We'll work on understanding your patterns, naming your needs, and rebuilding trust with yourself. Some of what that can look like:

  • Self-worth that doesn't depend on other people's approval
  • Understanding why “no” feels so hard to say
  • Boundaries that don't come with a side of guilt
  • No more shrinking your needs to keep everyone else comfortable
  • Catching the thoughts that keep telling you you're not enough
  • Choices that actually feel honest to your values
  • Steadier days, sturdier self-trust, more peace
  • Calmer days increased self trust
  • Rest that doesn't feel like falling behind

This isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming back to the woman you've always been, and learning to care for her better.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between self-worth and self-esteem?

Self-esteem rises and falls with how well you're doing: your wins, your looks, your output. Self-worth is steady. It's knowing you matter because you exist, not because of what you do or who you please. Self-worth therapy builds a belief that you're worthy just because you're YOU.

Can therapy really help with low self-worth?

Yes. Low self-worth is usually learned, often early, in homes where you had to earn care or stay small. What you learned, you can unlearn. Therapy helps you see those patterns and slowly build worth that doesn't depend on approval.

Do you offer online self-worth therapy in North Carolina?

Yes, all my sessions are virtual. I see women in Raleigh and across North Carolina, plus Delaware, Pennsylvania, Texas, Illinois, Virginia, and Maryland.

What is the S.A.F.E.R. Method?

It's the framework I use to help women move from putting themselves last to feeling worthy and stable, one small step at a time.
