You’re the strong one. You always have been.
You’re the friend everyone calls. The one at work who gets it done. The one at home who holds it all together. People look at you and think, she’s got it all together.
And maybe you do. But lately you’re tired in a way sleep doesn’t fix. You feel anxious and you can’t always say why. Some days you’re not sure who you are when you’re not busy being who everyone needs.
That’s not what being okay is supposed to feel like.
I’m Shariyfa, a trauma therapist for women who are done holding it all together alone.

I’ve Been There…
I grew up in Delaware, raised by a strong single mother in a faith-filled home. Early on, I learned to achieve, adapt, please, perform. Be the good girl. Be the strong one. Don’t be too much.
From the outside, I looked like I had it all together. Inside, I was quietly falling apart.
So I did my own work. I went to therapy. I looked at the patterns I’d utilized for years to cope and started to let them go.
Because I don’t just talk about healing. I live it.

That’s why I do this work the way I do: with patience, honesty, and faith. I’m a faithful servant of God, and that’s the ground I stand on. I bring my whole self into the room so you feel safe bringing yours.
If that sounds familiar, I’m glad you’re here. Not because I have a quick fix. I don’t.
But because I’ve spent years helping women understand, rebuild and find out what’s actually true about who they are.

Who I Help in Raleigh, NC
I work with women who learned early that being strong wasn’t a choice. Women who grew up in homes that were chaotic, emotionally distant, or where holding it together was the only option.
Maybe you’re the one who can’t stop performing. The one who says yes when you mean no. The one whose body still braces for a problem that isn’t there anymore.
You’re successful and dependable. From the outside, you’ve got it handled. Underneath, you feel worn down, anxious, and unsure of who you really are.

That’s the work we do together. And you don’t have to keep being the strong one here.

What I Stand By
01
Faith first
God comes first here. My work is grounded in faith, and you’re welcome to bring yours into the room.
02
Safety over performance
You don’t have to prove anything or earn care in this space.
03
Honesty with warmth
I’ll be gentle, and I’ll be real with you. You deserve both.
04
Depth over quick fixes
We don’t rush to fix things. We slow down and look at what’s underneath.
05
Your worth is already yours
It isn’t something you achieve. You don’t have to earn it here or anywhere.
06
We do this together
You’re the expert on your life. We figure it out at your pace, not mine.

What to Expect
What to Expect

A slow, safe start: no pressure to dig into the hardest thing on day one

A pace you set, not me

Curiosity about your patterns, not judgment

Real feeling and real tools you can use that same week

A space grounded in faith, if that matters to you
What Not to Expect

Being told how to live your life

Being treated like a problem to fix

Pressure to forgive or heal before you’re ready

Having to earn care by being easy

Pressure to reinvent yourself. This is about coming home to who you already are.

The Human Behind the Therapist
When I am not with clients, I am a wife, mom, sister, friend, and woman of faith.
I enjoy baking, reading, nature, travel, adventure, and a good cup of tea. Tea is my go-to. It warms my soul.
I’m also constantly learning the same things I teach: how to slow down, how to rest, how to choose myself without guilt.
I truly love this work. It is an honor to sit with women as they speak their truth, heal old wounds, and begin to see themselves as a priority.
